What type of pastel would this be considered for coloration?

What type of pastel would this be considered for coloration?

It isn't any line unless it's parents were of a certain line. Lemon parents produce Lemon babies, Bell parents produce Bell babies and so on. Every line of pastel is from a different original WC animal that has been named and the babies sold as that line.
Hope this helps.
I would say a Graziani Normal pastel.
Laughable................thats it.....

Hahahah, your right newreptile.....
The better question would be, what does it matter?? A pastel is a pastel, who cares what "line" it is from. Aside from maybe the blondes, the others are all the same in my eyes. Sure the lemons tend to have more yellow and less blushing, but they are still a pastel. People should worry less about the name, and more about what they find attractive about a certain snake...

Chondro you are semi right. Pastels are pastels to a certain degree. I personaly like high blushing pastel with neon yellow. If you are gonna pay 1000.00 for a pastel DO YOU WANT it to turn into a musterd color or DARKER as an adult, I doubt it. That is why people come up with higher yellow lines, ETC. The better the PASTELS look the more chance you will to get the 1000.00 price tag, I COULD have gotten no so good looking pastel males for 600.00 or less this season, where as the more yellow ones would have cost me more. The guy in the original post was asking for OPINIONS, I felt if he had to have a TYPE that it would more fit the GRAZIANI TYPE, Because of it's color and blushing...Typical for MOST GRAZIANI PASTELS I have seen. I am sure we have all types of pastels in ALL of the lines. MY bell line PASTEL and you can tell its a BELL LINE.

I don't know if you are trying to be a funny guy AGAIN, But the Question WAS....WHAT TYPE OF PASTEL DO WE THINK HE HAS? If you look at ALMOST ALL(And I did say ALMOST ALL) of the GRAZIANI "Normal TYPE" PASTELS that I have seen look like HIS. They have a lot of blushing in the brown/black areas of the pattern on top. Unlike Most of the others are just jet black a little off black. That is just my observation. But I am sure you wouls argue anything I had to say, Because that is the type of person you are. Thanks DAVID

His pastel looks similar to this one I have 9like you said, lots of blushing and all) but i believe this is a nerd line actually.

EUNE.....IF you look really close....YOUR NERD line has a less amount of blushing and a higher yellow on the spine...TRUE or FALSE. In my opinion I would just have looked at yours and said it would either be a BELL line or Maybe a NERD lemobut never a Graziani...way too yellow on the top of the back of the ball python.
it may have a higher yellow on the spine but i honestly do not think it has more blushing..i have actually not seen more blushing on any pastel..maybe its because i have the snake and see it more than one pic but that snake is blushed out like crazy
Nah, if you look at your snake and the picture of the other one in this post, Yours has no where near the blushing, I am not talking the lighter color, I am talking more blushing in the dark areas, Yours does not have as much black thus less blushing. Do you understand what I am saying? thanks David
Looking again there may be slightly more blushing on that one but I do not think there is that significant of a difference to tell lines. The pastel I posted has blushing in about every dark spot on the back. The only difference I see is that pastel has more "black back" to have the blushing on. If you look at the one i posted it has blushing in ever oportunity the back gives. here is a different pic.

How many lines of Pastels are there, and someone is making an I.D based on one pic of a sub-adult??
As well, the line the person believes it is (based on features/traits), the Graziani line, is the ORIGINAL line of pastel. Since it has been around the longest, and is quite likely the most bred of the Pastel lines it would make sense that the Graziani line would show the most variation and not be a good choice to identify simply on visual clues.
Here are the Pastel lines I'm aware of: NERD Pastel, NERD Lemon Pastel, VPI Pastel, Bell Pastel, BHB Pastel, Blonde Pastel, D&M Pastel, Next World Pastel, Graziani Pastel, TW International Pastel, Ruppel Line Pastel, Santa Cruz Reptiles Pastel, and Enchi Pastel.
That's ATLEAST THIRTEEN lines of Pastels.
Let's be honest, after 12-18 months a good number of the pastel lines look the same.
Put one specimen of each of the above lines in a tank and the majority of the people would have a problem differentiating between the various lines.
Sure, some lines (NERD Lemon, Ruppel, Blonde, Enchi) would immediately stand out from the others, but the majority are going to be similair enough to cause confusion.
Personally, I used to go nuts for the NERD Lemons, but as people selectively choose their Pastel's mates we are seeing Pastel hatchlings from various lines (BHB, Bell, NERD, Graziani) that could be passed off as a true NERD Lemon Pastels to unsuspecting buyers.
How many wild caught pastels will people prove out in the 2005 season? More lines to add to the mix.......
And, hypothetically speaking, who's to stop someone from selling offspring from an established line as their 'own wild caught' line simply to make a name for themselves? Hmmm
Enough rambling, I should get back to work now.
Happy Herping.
