Are you sure these a real PURE Crawl Cays, I only know of one person working with legit animals, Gus Rentfo.

I know there are some who have in the past, but yours doesn't look like one. I may be wrong.

You couldnt possibly be anymore wrong then you already have as in the other posts above. You as well as many others havent the first clue about the "true"LOCALITY breeders of the "world"
Gus is by far the most well known when it comes to "Primo Locality Boa forms" but he is hardly the"only one"Outside the comfy zone of KingSnake,Fauna etc,etc the the locality breeders are breeding pure form screamers that can easily smoke the top rated color mutts seen by the general public today.Gaz has offered to share a small sample of what his dedication and efforts have produced with-in a single form and look at how the IGNORANT'S oooze from the threads.

LOL Pity ..........

Like I said I may be wrong, and it turns out I am and am sorry.
I know there are others, but I do not know them by name. Although I would be interested in the lineage of the boas. They are very pretty and unique. I was just a little sceptical.

Most do not know much about locales so uncommon as these. At least in the U.S. where few are produced. I also know Jeff Ronne bred them in the past. I do NOT know the breeders personally or by name.

I am learning as is everyone, which I know I will continue to do. I am not an expert, just 16 and have been into Boas for one year. I do feel I have come pretty far.

Locale wise, I have an Orange Crush Bolivian Amarali ('86 X '89 lines from Kevin Barnett), a "Blonde" Bolivian Amarali from Barry Miller. And soon, when the weather improves and I have my new cages, founder stock Costa Ricans of Western origin brought in through Kevin Barnett. I do not as you see have much experience with locales, but am trying to gain as much information as possible.

I based my inferance on the Crawl Cays by what I have seen of known Pure lines. Cross on the head, light gray color, and small size. These are from Belize like Cay Caulkers, and there is not much out there on them.

Guz I am sorry, I do like the one you refer to as a "hypo" as you and EVERYONE knows, many people lie and misrepresent animals, I was unsure so I posted. I am not saying you lied, you just left no information on them, and could have been misinformed.

Europe has some very commendable breeders, not just into the money like many Americans are. Do not get me wrong, the money can be helpful, I plan to help pay for college that way. It is all about the animals, each deserves its own audience, but they can't talk so it is up to us to communicate for them.

Kudos for you Chris. Not everyday does someone display the type of humble wisdom you did by admitting your error.Only the fool scofs a gentle rebuke. We all make mistakes on a daily basis. You are ahead of the game,at your age.Best wishes in your boa endeavors,Marcus

It is support from people like you that go a long way.

No problem, and as far sslonestar is concerned, hes not a bad dude at all.He is pretty informative and reasonable.Little rough around the edges sometimes, but I like it like that. You know your gonna get punched in the chest and you see it coming.Got to respect that, even if you dont like it.Talk to him off forum sometime, you will find him pretty knowledgeable.Take care,Marcus

sslonestar Jan 13, 2005 07:29 AM

I agree with Marcus as well, your off to a good start for your age.
Dealing with people like Kevin you cant go wrong, bummer I didnt have the dough to get in on the Ricans this go round.I had a shot at a killer 1.1 but had to pass one week before payment was due.In a way Im glad it turned out the way it did because I almost comprmised the integrity of my collection/vision of "exclusive" Island form bci ssp,its very hard to resist when the quality is of such a level as their known for. When you get to where your experience can support your wisdom you`ll be far ahead of many keepers that never push/strive to apply/experience what knowledge is intended for.

You gotta Use it !

Like I said I am sorry. What types of Island BCI do you keep. I have been interested in aquireing some but have stayed away waiting for the "perfect" pairs. I also want the most unrelated as possible, there is just too small of a gene pool.

Roatan Island, Cay Caulker, and Corn Islands especially. I have also been looking at Sabogae, Nebulosa, Orophias, but they seem non-existant or VERY expensive. Then there are Longicauda, Surinams, and Pulcappa Peruvians.

Any help you could provide on these would be very much obliged.
Thanks,
Chris

Yeah I have morphs too:
