I posted on the Feeder Forum, but got no replies. I read an article that recommended that tree frogs be fed wax worm moths in addition to crickets as a staple. I know that the worms are high in fat, but I assume all or most of that is burned up during metamorphosis. Although I can find plenty of information about the nutrional values of the caterpillars, I've never seen anything on the moths. I have a trio of red eyes that have been dining almost exclusively on crickets for several years and seem as healthy and colorful as the day I got them (exept maybe bigger and fatter). Is it worth going through the trouble of raising these caterpilars to adulthood for food or is there a better choice of moth species for this purpose?
