I want to put my male and female cape yorks together on a permanent basis but I want them to breed. What size cage do you think would be more appropriate: a 30 gallon, or a 24w X 24d X 12h? Thanks for the info.

I keep my spotted pythons together all year round and they always breed every year, mine have a cage that is 36 inches long but only 18 x 18 inches height and width. Mine are normal spotted's (jealous that you have cape yorks) but I can't see that there'd be any difference in keeping them together. Good luck with them
