This fish/reptile shop is really gross up the street from me. Old sheds and large amounts of poop in each cage and at least one dead milk snake. Tons of different kinds of reptiles not being taken care of. Anyone no who to contact?

If I were going to report anything to a business, I would start with the owner. WE have to think about the possible damages to the hobby when we report these types of things to the WRONG people. What you and other people that jump on a boat to REPORT some business for a few dirty cages or whatever don't UNDERSTAND is that PEOPLE are just waiting in the wings to TRY and SHUT this REPTILE/Snake industry down for any reason they want. They will start with Joe Blows Pet shop and say We don't care for the animals because we don't have a clean cage or whatever. I am nOT saying it is or was RIGHT for the pet store to keep the animals in that type of condition, But this happens a lot in pet stores. In my opinion some of them just don't know how to care for the animals they have, That is the reason YOU should go to the OWNER of the company instead of some Animals Rights Activist, That is the reason for most of the crazy reptile laws now, People TRY to help but contact the wrong people. If I am correct didn't New York just pass some type of exotic animals law? no sure why or if it is true but that is what I heard? I am sure it had to do with several complaints being placed. But anyway just my 2 cents because I like keeping my snakes and enjoy them and I wouldn't want to see LAWS passed in the future PREVENTING THAT. That would only hurt all of us in the long run. I am NOT saying That the PET store is right, JUST SAYING contact the STORE OWNER and make it known that you or OTHER people are watching what they do with the animals, They will USUALLY straiten everything UP. And then we have no Hassles from the people trying to PUT they REPTILE Keepers out of business. Believe ME when I say that we have PEOPLE/Organizations just trying to collect any thing they can USE against Animal Keepers to make laws to make it hard or IMPOSSIBLE for US to KEEP what we want.
