geckogrl6 posted about the blind albinos and that got me thinking (scary thought )Ya know how its common for all white dogs and cats to be blind or deaf or have other types of disorders... well, does stuff like that happen with reptiles. Like with luesistic reptiles and stuff. I've never looked into it but I was curious if anybody here knew.

All I have seen in these animals is eye problems.

I wouldn't doubt it though, Albinoism is a negative trait in the wild, we just bred to make it more common then it would have been. Albinos would never live for long in the wild, and that is why they are not as common as the normals.

I don't think its close to dogs and cats though...dogs are cats have much much more diff genes and trates to mix up. I have a half pershin cat and if you have ever seen a full one, they are the flat faced ones. This is a negative trait in the wild because there flat face blocks much of there breathing system in there face.

With dogs, there are countless types that we have bred to keep that mistake in nature.
