substrate question

is there any orange or red sand that isnt calci sand like colored play sand or any kind of colored sand that isnt harmful?

Think Calci sand is just dyed with food dye. Read a label. Or maybe gatoraide will do the trick.

You can buy food dyes cheap at any grocery store. Or buy some beets and boil them...keep the water and use it to mix with your sand...then yuo will have to dry out the sand in an oven or under a hot sun. I think this will work anyway
