Hardwickii Colony

Here's the quartet getting along. Their initial names seemed hasty as I couldn't even tell them apart enough to matter, so now they have numbers. Two weeks ago they got marked with a Sharpie on their flanks and they've been much easier to identify ever since, both personality wise and by natural coloration. I was able to identify one of them being held across the room, so if anyone has a group of near-identical little monsters, I highly recommend "branding" them this way.

"One" is friendly or at least apathetic, "Two" is skittish to the point of self-injury. "Three" is stand-offish and "Zero", ironically, lacks all social graces.

They're much moodier than my pair of WC Geryi's that are 2-4 times their size. Has anyone had experience between species/ages to correllate to this?

Hey-
I have had an Hardwicki for about 2 years. Got him from a pet store that had just received a shipment of about 25. Contrary to the literature that I have read regarding this species, mine is very hesitant to any interaction with me and loves to hiss and gape open mouthed when I pick him up.
I have been bitten twice and he meant every bit of it. Thankfully he is only 10"! That said he shares his enclosure with an equal size female ornate and they seem to be the best of cagemates.

I don't have any U. hardwicki But I do have U. ornatus, macfadyeni, maliensis and geyri. I find my ornates and saharans to be the most calm and easy going of the bunch, even tword people and other uro species. The malis and somalis on the other hand are very stand-offish all the time.
