Homozygous v. Heterozygous

CJBianco Jan 13, 2005 09:58 AM

Is it just me, or does breeding heterozygous Ball Pythons seem more fun than breeding homozygous Ball Pythons?

I was thinking...I could purchase a pair of homozygous Albinos to breed together and possibly make a little extra cash, but I think I'd rather go with a Homozygous X Heterozygous breeding. That way you get little surprise jewels mixed in with normal-looking hatchlings. Way more dramatic, I think. With a Homozygous X Homozygous breeding, you'll already know what the outcome will be. Where's the fun in that?

Maybe I'll do both -- one for profit and one for fun. =)

Thinking Out Loud,
Chris
