i spend too much time at ks.com, when I am not here I spend too much time at amazon.com. i found a book that covers a lot of what we've been discussing lately regarding species and intergrades and hybrids, etc. the books is:
Speciation, by Jerry Coyne. Publisher is Sinauer Assocites May 2004. ISBN number: 0878930892. If you are interested, amazon has it for 54.95, not too bad considering the price of some books. Looks readable as well. -NOT specific to reptiles but genes are genes and concepts are concepts such as the gouldian finch example (!) and should translate well to all purposes.
I don't know how everyone else feels but I like books that give me a few more concepts and ideas than most of the $7 ones available at pet stores where it seems a lot of science is originating. I don't expect for this book to provide me with the "final answer" but it will be a valued addition once I get around to ordering it.
