what is the current protocal for treating this (meds heat humidity that sort of things)
I want to compare to the local vet.

I just recently finished treating my 6 month old with an RI. I had to give him 5 injections of Ceftazidime every 3 days. I kept the temp at 90 at all times. I would spray down the enclosure and mist him in the morning and then just mist the enclosure not him in the late afternoon. This kept the humidity up. I didn't try to feed him while giving the meds.
It's been a month now since his last injection and he is great. He's eating twice a week (trying to get his weight back up). He had lost a quarter of his weight.
