When I got home today the temperature of my reptile room was 85 which is higher than I like it. I opened the cages and let them cool down a bit. I dug up the Argus that hasn't come out in a while. He actually looked good. He was fiesty but not agressive. I put him in a tub of warm water to soak for a while. After a while I put him back in the cage on the basking spot. He sat there and looked pretty content. I grabbed 2 mice and put one in front of him where to get down it would have to go through the monitor. I dropped the other mouse on the floor of the cage. I stood there watching but figured the monitor wanted me to leave since I had been messing with him. When I came back in the monitor was on the floor of the cage with the mouse in its mouth. I was so happy to see him interested in food!!!! A little while later he was basking again. After about 30 minutes or so I checked on it again. He had been in the water dish and had eaten a second mouse. When I walked back in the room this time he was climbing up to the basking spot. The argus doesn't look sick or anything. I still am not sure why he is hiding so much now, but I am glad to see that he looks healthy, is active tonight, and is eating something.
Thank you to all that responded to my last post!!!!
Now I need some ackies
