I've had my pair of Russian rats together for like a week now. And I've witness probably two dozen attempts at copulation. But it's their first breeding and I think my male is retarded or something. He can't seem to find the hole. None of my other snakes I've bred have ever had this problem. Out of those dozen attempts...I've NEVER seen them lock up! He bites her, tries for like a half hour, and then gives up, never succeeding...I wish I knew what was going on here....

Hey,
Yeah my male blotched kngsnake has the same prob i just keep on tryin he'll get it eventully. Or if worse comes to worse try the holdin attemped it may cause some stress among snakes but it usually helps if u really want them to breed
