Pac Man with intestinal Parasites

Frogger1985 Jan 13, 2005 08:37 PM

My pacman has intestinal parasites, possibly roundworms. I ran a fecal exam on it to day and found a bunch of eggs and larvae. Since I work in a dog/cat clinic i can't make a full diagnosis and treatment. He is going to see the herp vet on sat.
Has anyone ever had a pacman or other frog with worms? Were they easily treated, with what? If any one knows where i could find more info, besides the herp vet, that would be great.

Another question, When can you tell the sex? I have had my frog for 5 months and it was tiny when i got it...size of a large gumball. Now it is the size of a golf ball. Its throat is spotted black. Could that be the start of a males darkened throat? It doesn't make any noises at night, but neither do my male ACFs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You can tell the age when its about a year old. Only some females get to the size of a dinner plate, males usually get to the size of a softball.

Check out the link below for books on endoparasites.

FYI: you can get their mouths open for administering the medicine with a thin spatula, or what I prefer, a small snake probe.
