When I bought my Iguanas, I thought I knew what I was getting into. I had read about feeding and was prepared to make fresh salads daily. I had read about lighting and space, and was ready for these challenges as well. In fact, I love being an Iguana owner!! I did miss one important fact, though, and no one and the pet store bothered to mention anything. Owning TWO iguanas, especially when they are both male, is a VERY VERY bad idea. Now I've had both of them for over a year, and I love them very much, but I NEED to find a new home for one before spring time. I've already decided that I'm going to give up the smaller of the two, but I want to find the perfect home. I've advertised, and gotten interest, but I'm not willing to give him to anyone who doesn't understand all the work that must go into proper Iguana care. It's been a tough search!!! Finally I remembered about kingsnake.com, where I used to go often to chat about my cornsnakes. I was hoping someone here might know of someone interested in an Iguana, or a different way to advertise. I live in central Pennsylvania, but I'd be willing to drive if it mean't the right home. Any advice??? I'm not willing to give him up to an adoption center.
