More on Pebbles

SBShortie Jul 04, 2003 05:06 PM

Hey-

I haven't given Pebbles her medicine for 2 days now. Yesterday she ate 1 worm. Today she ate 1 worm and about 10 crickets (more than she has ever had in 1 sitting). I guess I'm just really relieved because I started crying when I picked her up today. She was way too calm for her and getting down to skin and bones. Her little back legs look like you could snap them with no force at all. Hopefully she will manage to keep down all the food she ate and will be on her way to being healthier.

Becca

I would like I said before, keep her off the medicine, and just see how she does, because it did not seem to do much good, and ya can't keep having her lose the weight. Again, she is to small , to continue to lose. I still think it was the antibiotic, making her not eat, they someimes have that effect. But as I told you I 'm not a Vet, so it is My opinion, and from listening to other people using antibiotics that have that effect, sometimes.
Just experiment a few more days and see if she continues to eat well. Lots of luck with little Pebbles. I still would dab alittle neosporin on the red area, worth a try ! Can't hurt !
Later, Eve
