Is this normal?

reflex21089 Jul 04, 2003 05:08 PM

Is it normal that my 4 month old tang (who will turn 5 months old sometime this month) is 9in. long and 42g?? She is much bigger than my male who is 11 months old (he has a short tail so hes not very long anyways), but still this doesnt seem normal...does anyone have any input on this? Thanks a lot

She's just a fast grower. Nothing wrong with her, just means you are taking good care of her. She looks to be developing very nicely too!!!

I have had geckos, raised individually under optimal conditions, grow that fast. Some geckos are also genetically predisposed to be faster growers and get bigger than other geckos. It is a nice trait when you are breeding.

My girl is only 3 months old - almost 4. She is around 8 inches long and weighs 38 grams. Some grow really fast.
