Nightime temps??

ejaquish Jan 14, 2005 03:52 AM

I have all my daytime temps right, well hopefully. Basking is at 110 and the lowest temp is around 80. I am just having some problems getting the nightime temps right. I put a black light in and under that it gets to be about 85 but the coolest spot in the tank is around 65. Is that too cold? Any suggestions on how I can get a higher temp in that coolest spot?

Thanks

I wouldn't worry about raising the temp in the cool end. The lizards will stay in the warm end, and probably hide. Mine dug a den under the rocks (which are supported on bricks resting on the bottom) and go into the den at night, sealing the entrance. I use a blacklight as well, and my nightime temps are low seventies under the light and upper sixties in the other end.
