What ? You hope to have a fridge

Brumation is hibernation.
This is required to breed collareds.
This is mandatory, if you don't intend to breed, just don't do it.

Temperature during brumation is between 8-12 C. (48-60F)

Some use fridge, some use coolers ... Personally, I just uses winter natural cold

I don't know if this 1-2 months sleep increases collareds lifespan ?!
This could be a good arg if yes.

And thanks for the warm welcome!!

Yes, you certainly have influenced me to get a Collared!!
Now I just have to influence my hubby...He already thinks we have too many pets.

Dont get my wrong, he really likes gypsy. But we like to take off for the weekend and stuff like that every once inna while, and we have a hard enough time finding people to take care of the pets we already have(2 Dogs 2 Cats and 2 Birds & of course our lizard).. My mother in law, who often takes care of our animals while we're away is petrified of Gypsy!! I dont know what she'd do if we got another lizard....

And BTW Gypsy is doing good just as sweet as ever!! Except for the fact that she seems to lost alot of her appitite, doesnt seem to interested in crix for about the past week or so.
That is why I was asking bout the mealies in the other forum, thought maybe she was sick of crix....?

I will be posting some more pics of her in the near future!

Take Care, ~Schizmsgrl~
