How do i get feces off bark? I have heard of baking to kill bacteria, but at what temp? Is that safe? Will it stink up my house for a day? After baking do I scrape off the feces?

Throw away the fouled bark and replace it. It is an expensive proposition and most people probably don't use it for that reason.

Bark is a pain to clean well. I am assuming you have cork bark? It's too soft to scrub and I am not sure how much heat it can take, compared to wood. Soaking in a 1:10 bleach/water solution for 24 hours should kill all bacteria, then you have to soak in clean water for just as long, rinsing well and air drying completely to ensure all chlorine fumes are gone (even if you can't smell them, some could still be there). 24 hours in well ventilated area is good.

Driftwood or bark free branches are easier to clean than bark.

Soaking the wood in bleach (ratio of 1 parts bleach : 10 parts water, as PHLdyPane said) will help disinfect, and also help loosen the defecation. Good luck!
