I really need to know if it is harmful for a female beardie to breed in the first year. I read something that said it isnt a good idea. Why is that?

Thanks

They're still too young. Even tho the dragons are mature enough to be able to mate and produce offspring, it's nto the healthiest thing to do. The female might not be developed enough and could have complications, etc. Think of it like humans- Humans are are able "mate" and "produce offspring" as young as 13 and 14 years of age, but it's still far too young to do so. The baby might not develope fully or correctly. It's just a bad idea.
If i were to mate my dragons, i'd wait until they were atleast between 1.5 and 2 years of age.
