Wax Worm Pupae stage help!!!

ultanoleman Jul 04, 2003 05:54 PM

Hi!!
Well I have some waxies?? And Since I have Green Tree Frog, I kno he will enjoy a lot more if they are moths and so will it be more entertaining watching him show off his true hunting skills ^________^!!!! But I have a problem.!!!! I don kno if my Pupae waxies are doing okay?? I have 2 that was in Pupae for about 3 or 2 weeks?? And its ready to hatch I think?? Well its very dark and I can kinda see the silvery fur of it inside I can also see its eyes are going blue which means it will hatch out...rit???!! But its seems to be dead too?? I kind pushed it around if it was still okay but he wouldnt move?? Alll the fresh pupae ones are still active when i touch themm!!!! Do they just stay non-move if they are ready to hatch out of pupae stage??? I mean Im wasting money if they are all just gonna die when they get to the last stage !!! Ok anyways I keep it in the little plastic ounce cup?? That they come from..they hve woodchips in it...other non-pupae ones and pupae ones...DO THEY NEED FRESH AIR?? B/C THEIRS NO AIR HOLES FOR THEM? Im just worried??

Plz tell me what I could do If some died too prevent it next time by teching me how too keep it ??? Thx!!!!

PLZ RESPOND ASAP!!!!! THANKS!!!!

I've hatched waxies to moths-- keep at room temp; and yes, give 'em some air holes to ventilate container...
