Frist we will need to know whay you consider "unusually" cold temps for your region? I would say they "should" be fine if the night temps do not get below the mid-upper 40s. Now, if this is the constant temp during the day, and every night dips to the low forties or even upper 30s, as well....get them inside now!!! Even when brumating, I like to keep their night temps around 58 - 62, though is more closer to 65. Also check out www.bluetegu.com (Ron St. Pierre) and agama international (Bert) for burmation temp info. I know Bert at agama has been very helpful over the years.

Hope this helps!!!

yeah. its starting to get under 40 at night, even the low thirties one night, what should i keep them in when theyre inside? just like abox with some dirt in it or should i set up and enclosure and stuff even tho theyre asleep?

I'd find a spot in the house where they are not going to be bothered. Have a spare room? a large walkin closet? etc. Go to walmart and pick up some plastic storage tubs and a couple bags of mulch for each. Put a few inches of substrate in a tub, place the tegu in the tub, cover with a deep layer of substrate. Do not cover the tub. Do this for each tegu.

I think the tricky part is going to be getting them from the outside enclosure to the inside when it is so cold out. I would not allow my tegus to become exposure directly to the cold outside.

Hi there! Sorry it took a bit to get back. I read Rick's suggestion to you.................perfect!!!! Read his suggestion and they should be fine. Be careful though as he stated when "digging them up"!!!
