Here’s one for you!!!!!!!LOL;
I just got this snake about two weeks ago. My niece called me and said that she had a co-worker, whose son had a snake, that they wanted to get rid of, because her son, a nine-year-old won’t take care of it. My niece told me the lady said it was a gray banded king snake. I call up the Lady, and she proceeded in to tell me that they purchased the snake at Petco about two years ago. She said it was gray and white banded, and she thought that it was a California Gray banded King snake.
OK, now my curiosity was really up,???????????? I’ve never seen a gray banded king snake in a (California) Petco!!!!!!!!!nor have I seen a gray and white banded California king. I agreed to take a snake site unseen. I went to pick up the snake and to my surprise. It was a beautiful, Florida king snake; LOL.
This was just as good as making any good find while out herping!!!!! Lol;
I don’t know how she got, gray and white banded , but I was happy to take it off her hands .
Can anyone tell me If there is a difference between Brooks King and Brooksi King, besides spelling? Are they different species?
