I am not sure I follow. Do you have a tstat now you are wanting to modify?

No. I have a light dimmer adjusting the temperature on my flexwatt and UTHs. I am looking for a simple circuit to build myself from scratch to sense and control the heaters.

You are better off just buying a t-stat, i tried what you are attempting and its not that easy or cheap. Clint

Where are the market proportional tstats made?
DO you have the schematic the used?

The tools to make a good proportional tstat will cost you an arm and a leg...

I have tools. some parts and I already build electronic circuits. Just wondering if anyone on here has did this already. I am not looking at the cost of building vs. buying a market one. Its hard to compete with the Chinese when you are a build it yourselfer. This is just another part of the hobbie for me.
