...Phantasticus eggs...

boy Jan 15, 2005 05:51 AM

First pair of eggs of the season laid on 1/14/05 I have only had phants for a month & a half. I discovered them around 3 am when I was doing a spraying and feeding. Some good news considering I didn't think I would be getting any at all this year from that group. Goes to show I must be doing something right with them.

Tomorrow one of my lone females that has finally cleared up a mite problem will be introduced to one of my males. Hopefully she'll get a long nicely with him. All this thanks to Reptile Depot and Alex of Burbank.

Cheers
Jason

...in my experience it should take between 4-5 months to hatch at 68-72 degrees incubation... Congrats Jason..

thats awesome news! since you've already had luck with your eban's, hopefully that experience will pay off with this pair of eggs. im hoping my last standing female will produce some for me, but im gonna have to wait and see. my single egg that was laid should be due next month sometime. it sure seems like a lot more people are having success these days compared to a year ago, although it could possibly be cuz theres more people that have started using this forum. cant wait to see how it turns out for you in about 3 months (these guys take too long to develop in the egg!)

I'll be introducing my mossies in a few weeks. I think I'll have some good success with her when that happens. I put a lot of time into my animals, 2 hours minimum a night. Its well worth it but definitely a bit of a struggle.

I just seem to get some things right while I get some things completely wrong.
