I tried shredded office paper because I had alot of access, but it seemed way to dry. Humidity was more of a problem unless of course paper was wet. Too much spraying. Newspaper may be different I have not seen it shredded before. Andy

I use several layers of newspaper, and then put in a big wad of shreaded newspapers. I throw away the glossy advertisements they stick in the paper.
