sulcata shed???

smith710 Jan 15, 2005 11:06 AM

Hi, I just recently noticed that my sulcata tortoise is shedding or something. The skin on her neck and back between her neck and legs is pealing. Is this normal or did I do something wrong. Shes only about 6 months to a year old. I was just kind of worried because I've never heard or a tortoise shedding. So I was hoping it was normal. Please help.
Thank You,
Matt

Tortoises shedding their skin is normal. Shedding their shell is not.
