Too many crixf

chonglover Jan 15, 2005 04:21 PM

I put to many crickets in my beardies cage and now they are just walking all over him. Is this potentially dangerous? Right now I just left them in there for him to eat later.

I've read repeatedly, that you should not leave crickets in with the beardie...they can stress them out and can potentially cause injuries by biting...I use a small fish net to scoop out the ones my beardie doesn't eat...although you have to move fast or they can jump out of the net...

Yes, i've seen sum pretty nasty pix of dragons who's prey tunred predator and took the liberty of snaking on the dragons face, arms and legs, and tail. I'd get the crix out, and next time only feed as much as the dragon can eat at one time.

well ill give my 2 cents...

i have read all tha bout them biting and things, and have seen the pics of it..

but i think that if you water, and gutload (feed) your crix enough that it wouldnt be a problem, that being said i never leave more than a couple in there, and the only reason i dont take them out is bc i work nights and sleep into the afternoon so he has a little snack before i get up and feed him around noon
