After going in the blue, how long before a shed????

CHEeeEZZZ Jan 15, 2005 06:39 PM

Hey, My little ball just went in the blue and I was wondering how many days before he should start to shed if he's healthy. He looks great and is gaining weight, and eats like my garbage disposal. Just curious because im looking forward to a nice clean shed. I upped the temp alittle and the humidity is up between 70 and 80%, plus I gave him a warm bath tonight. thanks- Pete

I haven't had my ball that long so I've only witnessed one shed. I think it was about a week after her eyes clouded over that she did it.

He'll probably be in blue for 3-4 days then he'll clear up for a day or two and should shed the following day or within a couple of days. It's been my experience that the quicker through the process, the better shed they have. My little guy just shed a couple of days ago, he was blue for 2 days, clear for one and shed that night in one quick clean piece eye caps and all, pretty cool, this was the third shed since he's been with me and the first two were a bit more long, drawn out and he didnt shed cleanly. Hope this helps!
