Shipping in cold weather

z10silver Jan 15, 2005 10:05 PM

Does anyone know if it is safe to ship leos in 10-30 degree weather if shipped in an insulated box with a heat pack? I would like to wait until it is warmer, but I checked the forcast and it will only get colder. Would adding a second heat pack help? Advice is greatly appreciated.

I just purchased a blizzard lizard from LLL reptile in California, I live in Kentucky and the temps were in the teens, but my lizard arrived in an insulated box with a 40 hour heat pack. She's doing very well and eating like crazy, just get a thick box and heat packs and you should be ok.Most companies ship this way already because of their live arrival guarantee, but it never hurts to ask.Good luck!!
