water monitor question..

davidd Jul 04, 2003 07:22 PM

Hey, I'm thinking of getting a baby water monitor. I understand they require alot of attention and ALOT of room. That's why i'm posting this message. Does anybody have pics of their large water monitor setups. Some tips on building/aquiring a sturdy enclosure in which I could keep one of the big boys. Also, how fast do these varanids grow compared to others... I.e., what size setup would be best to start a juvie in and then what i'll be expecting and how far down the road.. kind of thing. Well, any information is appreciated, I just want to check out my options.
Thanks,
david

Hello David,

Water monitors require ALOT of space, care and time. Go to www.cybersalvator.com, and check out that site and see all the pics, forum posts, and inquire there, as its speciality is Varanus salvator, and the webmaster knows this species like NO other Varanophile...
Good Luck,
markb
