English version of Blue-Tongued Skinks available in US

7serpents Jan 16, 2005 02:35 AM

Blue-Tongued Skinks, contibutions to Tiliqua and Cyclodomorphus, Edited by Robert Hitz, Glenn Shea, Andree Hauschild,Klaus Henle & Werning,Matthias Schmidt Publications, 2004, 13 contributions, 129 color photographs, 13 sketches, and 16 distribution maps. So far limited quantities through ZooBook Sales & Amazon.com
Each chapter has reference literature noted, from previous publications. Good general Anatomy and Biology, detailed Husbandry on each species, identification by SVL/head scale size & counts/appearance aspects. Why ask tons of questions when you should have your own breeder/hobbyist referance books at home. This book along with Maders' "Reptile Surgery & Medicine" and the two volume set of "Reptile Care: an Atlas of Diseases and Treatments" work very well in providing necessary information on the health, preventive maintenance, and the well being of your skinks.

Yep, we were the first to have it in the U.S, and still offer it at a low price!

Just out of curiosity, we've had the post at the very top for months now, 7serpents, did you never notice it?

the book is originally offered at www.ms-verlag.de for 78,00 Euro which currency exchange rate makes the price $102.23 USD. Even with a price quanitiy break the shipping from Germany would still make it around $100 each.
Other books on this site will be available in US soon. Just use a Currency Exchange calculator (found on google or yahoo) to figure Euro to US Dollars.
Yes www.bluetongueskinks.net does have the book listed top on their discussion forum but they were not the first to import the book into the US.

Yeah, www.ms-verlag.de couldn't find anyone in the U.S to do business with; one of the authors asked us if we were interested in re-selling. Did you get one?
