Resting color for Jackson's

IguanaMama Jan 16, 2005 08:32 AM

I just checked on my brand new Jackson's. He's 2.5-3". He's resting on a branch and he is brown. Yesterday, he was green. Does brown mean stressed or just resting? Is there a guide anywhere to their color changes and what they mean, specifically for Jackson's.

Usually the darker colors mean stress and lighter colors mean calmness

jacksons are usually a greyish brownish color when they are little. as they mature they get the green color when content and dark green or brown when basking and a camo. pattern when stressed.

when challenging another male they will get lime green with a bright blue tail and canary yellow flanks.(front armpit to mid stomach)
