I do not know how you can expect anybody to help you out, if you are going to be that vague. It would help if you describe the current conditions, feeding patterns, temps, size, etc... everything... By saying your animal won't eat, is not giving us anything to try to help you. Be a bit more specific, and perhaps someone will be able to give you some useable advice.
Cheers
Bob
he is about two feet. i got him two days age from a petshop that has been mistreating him. he has some burn on his baCK foot and some cuts on his head and swollen toe. we put triple antibiotic ointment on all of the places and gave him a nice long soak.(the pet shop want to see if he could bet a cat.)
his basking area is about 98 and the cold side is about 88 and he has a water bowl big enough that he can submerge. i have tried the get him to eat mice, superworm, and goldfiish.

that is terrible... fighting it against a cat..
Along with obvious health reasons which you described, another reason why he may not be eating, is that it is too cold. The basking temperature is far too insufficient. The basking spot should be around 140-150F. keeping in mind this is the basking temperature only, and not ambient temps..
it could be other things, but one flaw in your husbandry is its temps.. fix the temps, and perhaps it may start eating again.. but you also have to think, do you like to eat when you are sick/gravely ill? The hotter basking temps should also help him work off any infection, as it's metabolism will be faster=stronger immune system..
Cheers, I hope this helps a bit, good luck

that you got him 2 days ago... Let him settle in, and get used to his hopefully better living conditions. I would hold off feeding him for about a week. He will be fine without food for a short period.
Also, the cool end of the temperature gradient you should have in his enclosure is the 70's. Monitors need to cool off sometimes.. 88 F is not a cool temperature.. You are forcing him to stay warm all the time, which at times is not what a monitor wants.. You want a large range of temps for the monitor to choose where it feels comfortable at..
Cheers,
bob
You know someone was going to ask....
Who won between the Nile and the cat?

There are chameleons, pythons, and monitors in my jungle room.
hey everyone i took him to the vet and they told me that the cuts would heal in time and the he was not a he but a she and that she has a cyst on her neck. but we are giving her antibotic for and that should be gone in a few weeks. no luck getting her to eat but i will keep trying.
