i have a 8 foot albino burm that has always been a good eater we even named him heffer. the last month or two he hasnt eaten so i dangled a chick in front of him and he swallowed it up. that was last week. a chick for him is like a potatoe chip for us. well i tried to give him a rat again today and he still would not take it . i put a chick in front of him and i never seen him strike so fast. i ended up tricking him and getting him to take a rat but what would make him all of the sudden only want chicks when he has never even eaten them before. sorry for the long post.

Man my 9 footer has not eaten in 7 weeks and has always been like yours, a great eater. Yesturday I gave him a little medium rat as a "potato chip" and he gobbled it up also. I just got him a bunch a jumbo rats I'm gonna offer him in a few minutes so we'll see what happens. You got me scared

yeah i dont have any clue what is going on with him. we named him heff because he was always the clean up crew and ate everything.

Well just an update that I'm sure you'll hate me for.(JK)

My boy took 3 jumbo rats last night with authority. He is sitting on his heat pad nice and fat as I type. He had a mild R.I. that I believe put him off food initially but he was showing no more symptoms and still refused food for a few more weeks. Anyway I'm content with him for the moment.
