There have been a lot of people recently buying a new boa, or other snake and they seem to have one thing in common. They do not know what to do when they get home with the animal.
It is good to see they care enough to ask questions, but shouldn't who they buy it from be able to answer these questions. Any reputable person can and will. It is nice to see people here with experience helping, BUT:
This is not what these new/prospective owners should be doing. If someone WANTS to buy a boa, other snake or any animal... they need to do RESEARCH BEFORE they buy it. You should know basic PROPER care, problems you may encounter are where you would ask questions. You should also have the PROPER houseing for the animal(s) before getting them, do not wait till after and then put it in your goldfish bowl. IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD ANOTHER CAGE YOU CAN'T AFFORD ANOTHER BOA (from the Boa Constrictor manuel).
To many people are seeing cute babies and buying them with out a clue as to what that baby needs, not to just survive for a few years, but to live a LONG and productive HEALTHY life.
I know I have been interested in a vatiety of reptiles before, then after a month or more of research I decided it wasn't for me.
Sorry for the long post, do not want any arguements, just pointing out an observation.
