The male breeder was a sib to the female. they were hatched in late 1998 at Bushmaster Herp/ Kameran Tepelden from Boulder C.O who sold the babies to Pro Exotics- Thanks Robyn!!!
I believe that Bushmaster still has some pics of the grandmom who was about 6 ft long and rat snake sized. There is a money clip with a dollar bill for relative scale.
If fed well in captivity females can actually grow to the size of 9-12 ft/ males 7-8 ft, but on average, this race is quite docile by nature after you survive thier feeding response.

Here is a pic of one of the founder grandmothers brought in by Kameran Tepelden of Bushmaster Herps who sold the offspring to Robyn at Pro Exoctics who in turn sold me my 2 pairs of CB babies who have now become my core breeding colony.
The secret of my success is a ready supply of big rats from a long time reptile friend (almost 30 years) who now works with herps full time in the Zoo.
