My baby ackie is sleeping in the open when it has a hidespot to go to. During the night. it is sleeping on the ground under my red heat lamp. it usually just crashes under its little cave. Anything to worry about here guys and gals or not.

I wouldn't worry too much if he is eating and acting normal. I have my four hatchlings in a 20 long and on one end there is an undertank heat pad with a nice cave, and another little cave. They don't pick those too often. Most of the time they are under the basking rocks or the water dish. They pick what suits them. As long as he has a choice in temps, he will decide. If he is under that lamp he needs warmth. If you would see that he is not eating or basking, take action. Good luck!
