Question about eggs incubating?

Rob&Michelle Jul 04, 2003 09:41 PM

I have had 2 eggs incubating for 44 days now and all of my other eggs hatch out at an average of 36 to 39 days, None of them later than 39 days. These eggs aren't infertile are they, since they have been incubating for 44 days now. There are no dents in them and they are pretty big eggs. The eggs are all brown because my female laid them in a peatmoss substrate. Any info would be a huge help.

Thank You,
Rob

sometimes eggs can take even more then 70 days to incubate! dont worry, 50 days is about average.

Wow!!!! Your eggs hatch out that early??? What temp do you incubate at??? Normally, eggs incubated over 85 hatch out between 45-60 days.
