Awesome Hondos I recently visited your site and I am totally jealous. Good luck with everything Tom Stevens
Thanks for the kind words, we should have lots of fun stuff this year.
Hey Adam,
Nice little patternless female you got there from Kevin Hanley. He sent me a pic of that soon after it was hatched and i ended up getting from Kevin Hanley the sibling sister (from the same clutch). She's pinstriped and I noticed that the one or two pinstripes in the middle of her body is becoming thinner as she sheds and the bands do not connect anymore at the belly.... do you have experience with hatchlings having some alterations with their bands when they grow up?
Thanks.

RAY
Ray,
Hi again to you. How are all those from the Hanley's Turning out? You will have to share some pics if you can and some of your other stuff. I don't feel there is a clear reason or explanation for this occurrence. I have one male from 03 that has done this over the year and like to take shots as it progress / age but it is a selective feeder and has grown very slowly. I have 04 offspring bigger than him. I see many posts claim to be " Vanishing Pattern or Het Vanishing Pattern " and just do not agree. For the most they do the reverse and gain tipping but this is to be expected.
It will be interesting to see what your outcome will be when you do breed her. Keep in touch this next season and let me know about some of your pairing and how they turn out.
Kind Regards,
Adam
Thank you for your response to my thread posting. This "vanishing patten" sure is a mystery and as you know, the both parents of your "odd-ball" (as Kevin puts it) and my female hypo are normally patterned ones (father was hypo and mother was het for hypo)...I think not even showing any breaks in the band marking and yet they have produced your super looking patternless female and my hypo female which I think will be a little different once it is fully grown. The bands underneath are more brokenly pronounced and the SEVENTH band is now visually breaking. I am sure it is not gonna disappear like yours but it would be interesting to see what her offsprings gonna be when the time comes.
So the first pic is a pic of her before Kevin Hanley shipped her to me. The second pic is an aerial view of her but I just want to show you the 7th band. And looking closely the band marking has been broken in such a short time. The third pic is her abdominal area that is more broken than I remembered to be. Wish I have a pic of her abdomen when I got her. And fourth and last pic is just another pic of her sideview.

Like yours, she won't be ready to breed until 2006, but already she is growing fast and eats like a pig! It is interesting that I even got her before she had her first pinky. I had to take a chance on that because i knew that she is the sibling of yours. Hope yours provide a lot of those patternless hypos... I would be ecstatic if I can get just one... hehehe.
I'll post the ghost female that I also got from Kevin Hanley. That ghost female is the daughter of your Ghost 94.
Thanks Adam and best regards!

RAY
Ray,
That one is looking good. She does have more banding but should be interesting to watch as she grows if it becomes more reduced and broken. She is a very nice hypo.
Keep us posted as she grows over the year.
Kind Regards,
Adam
