Sulcata Feeding Question...

In febuary I will be getting a subadult sulcata and was wondering if theres anything special to feed him once in a while? Like chicken,dog food, ect? Just was wondering what other sulcata keepers do. Thanks....

A sulcata's diet is very similar to a leopard tortoise.

Protein/meat = bad

Their digestive system is like a cow's. They need to graze on fiberous grasses and plants. Here's a care sheet:
