WOW! What a monster!.....

Sam has been getting better and better as time progresses. She now almost finishes her entire bowl of greens everyday, and her urates are getting whiter and whiter all of the time, which is a good sign that the liver problems are going away. I haven't had a ton of luck getting her to take the panacur though. The first two times she only got a little in her, so yesterday I tried a different approach. I took a piece of greens and put some panacur on it, and she wouldn't eat it. I was confused so I tried to feed her a different piece of greens. She looked at it, and then ate it, so I tried again with a leaf with panacur on it, but this time I sandwiched the panacur in between two leaves. She knew something was up, but I got her to eat a little bit.

So anyways, yesterday I was giving crix to my leo, and I decided that since my beardie was up from brumation, I'd give him a couple crix. I dropped them in and he just looked at me. He eventually at a couple. So I noticed I had three more remaining in my little cricket bowl thing (that I use for dusting them with calcium and vitamins). I have always my mali uro Sam a stricktly vegetarian diet, because she is an adult, but I figured three crickets every few weeks wouldn't hurt her. I dumped them into her tank, and he head turned right towards them. She was just patiently sitting on her retes stack basking, but one was walking right next to it. All of a sudden fat Sam just dove down onto the cricket. It worried me at first because she was so into it that it looked like she might have gotten a tiny bit of dirt in too, but she was more careful hunting down the last two.

I just thought it was funny. After that she looked at me as if to say "I want more!", but I held my ground and she gave up and decided to finish off her salad.

Yeah, I gave small crickets to all my Uros this weekend. My geyri "Kitty" takes off after them with a vengeance such that she completely forgets how scared she is of me in the process. She had run under her rock when I slid the door open only to dash out when I flicked a cricket in front of her. Aim isn't so good and I've seen her get just sand with her tongue, but the animals are eating so much I don't see it as a problem.
I haven't seen the hardwickiis respond with predation, but they may just be doing it while I'm away.
