how to feed roaches to beardies?(please read)

cee4 Jan 17, 2005 01:00 PM

I keep my bds in a homemade enclosure with a sand substrate. I cant just throw the roaches in because they would probably end up all over my house plus I worry to much about them eating sand. When I put the bds in a tub they get all freaked out and wont eat anything. In fact they wont eat if Im watching them at all. They used to be so friendly and would eat out of my hand now they just seem to hate me all the time.
I would really like to start a feeder roach colony for all the lizards but mainly for the Beardies.

why can't youm just throw the roaches in. I have never had a problem. If your BD is old enough and big enough to be on sand, feeding them on sand should not be a problem

I have a pair of long handled tweezers that are reversed. Meaning that when I squeeze them they open when I let go they close. Thats what I use to feed my dragon his lobsters. Now when I change over to discoids i'll just toss them in.
