Are all bloods as boring as mine???

CHEeeEZZZ Jan 17, 2005 01:25 PM

Hey, I was just wondering if everyones blood acts the same as mine. Hes 14 months old and about 30-33 inches. But aside from looking awesome, he doesnt really do anything. Hes my first blood so this may be normal. Hes set up in a sweater box size rubbermaid w/ a humid hide the size of a shoebox. unless i take him out of that hide, i can leave him there for 2 days and he wont even move a muscle. He eats once a week but never lets me watch, and every time i handle him he just tries to hide somewhere in the couch. Hes very friendly and never puffs or hisses, so Im lucky in that respect, but he doesnt have half the personality of my ball. Do yours act the same????

Hey,
I guess I'm trying to be a little bit facetious (Just a little) and can't help it in this case. But here it is, what are you looking for your blood to do, perform tricks, open the cage up and make the morning coffee, or whip out a sketch artist book and sketch a self portrait. I don't get it, and I don't mean to sound mean, I'm just having a little bit of fun with this, but in my experience, most snakes really don't do a hell of a lot, other than go nuts trying to either escape or are fraught with restlessness, looking for food; either of which can lead to rubbed noses and probably stomatitis. I'd much rather a tranquil blood lying in wait in its perfunctory ambush disposition anytime, over a crazed one, with half its face rubbed off. Just my opinion.

hahahaha take it easy I was just curious Angel. I get the point tho. Anyways my snake just proved me wrong about the eating part, he just let me snap a bunch of pics and pounded a rat right in my face. haha i guess ill be more patient next tiem before i ask a stupid question. later

Hey,
I was just having fun, no offense meant, and I hope that none was taken. I was just being silly. Hey, I've asked my share of silly questions in my time, and to be truthful, no question is ever stupid or dumb. The asker is curious, and rightfully you were.

If it makes you feel any better, mine is about the same. I just got to see her eat for the first time ever on Saturday!!

However, all I wanted when I got her was a sexy little lap snake. Something big and pretty that I can show off a bit on occasion. I love watching animal behavior, but its also nice to have an animal where all you do is check the thermometer every day and know she's perfectly content until you find some free time between exams to take her out for a bit.

Don't worry about asking stupid questions, the only stupid questions are ones that have been adequately answered a hundred times, or the ones that haven't been asked at all. The people around her are just crazy sometimes, and make the place FUN!!!

but mine is the life of the party! he dances, sings, tells jokes, does magic tricks. it's awesome. he does an incredible Al Gore imitation as well. he still thinks he's cool when when he does his "lord of the dance" routine but we are trying to get him to take the hint.he's kind of like the little alien guy on "spaceballs" but we just cant seem to get him to wear the hat.
