Just wondering,

I have two basking spots for my beardie in his tank (80 gallon), each of which is about 100-105. The middle of my tank is the "cool" part. the temp in the middle is 80, and the temp in his hidebox for the middle part is about 73-75. Is this ok?

I had tried with the "one side warm, one side cool" and the cool side was too cold. It was dropping into the mid/low 60's. I would wake up in the morning and he would be very cold to the touch. He seems a lot happier since I tried the new approach, a lot more active, and he's even eating a little more.

Just wanting to double check to see if what I'm doing is ok.

thanks, and sorry for the long post.

Those temps sound just fine.
