It was nice meeting many of you guys over the weekend. We also got a chance to meet many other breeders working with interesting species. Overall everyone had a great time.

Cool things I saw:

-Black Jungle had an exibit, and they had some awesome frogs.
-Ankaramy panthers with bluish colored crowns
-CB Mafana panthers
-Huge Mellers chameleon
-NERD and the $35k bumble bee spider ball
-Huge Iguanas!

Anyways, just want to say thanks to everyone that stopped by to say hi.

Are you sure you saw captive bred mafanas? That doesnt seem right to me heres why

If my research has meant anything they were first imported in may 2004. There is about 1 month gestation 7 to 9 month incubation plus the hatching and raising of babies up. You just saw them? Based on what I have seen it doesnt add up. Theres not enough time to see them at the show yet. you sure they were mafanas? In the best case scenarios the numbers dont work. I saw what I thought was ch mafanas talked about on this site and pictures on another site, but that person was not positive that they’re pure, and I think they just hatched in november.

If they were realy there I’d like to know who had them so I can try to get some. Did you get any?

I do know of one company who recently hatched mafanas. I have to double check the breeder's name, but I do believe it's been done. However, I think the breeder I am referring to said they are some of the first true CB in the US.

I think it was captive hatched not captive bred but I could be wrong.

Unfortunately I missed the show. I tried to go saturday but my car broke down with a miss firing piston. Then took my girlfriends car on sunday to have it die on the highway by exit 13 on 95. We got it started again and just went home. Somehow I don't think the show was for us that day. Well hope to see you at the next show.
