My Baby DB's

herperboy Jan 17, 2005 08:35 PM

My baby diamondbacks are gaining on average 1g a day. I was wondering if i could be overfeeding them, and they could be growing too quickly. They love to eat! I feed them twice a day and they get about 2 sticks each at each feeding. The smaller one is 42g and the larger one is 46g.

Judge by their appearance. Are they puffed out and appear too large for their shell? Are their shells curling up at the edges? If appearance is normal, they should be OK, although twice daily feeding is a bit excessive, although you ARE limiting their intake at each feeding.
