Brad Alexander and I found this New Mexico Milksnake June 24th
in the Davis Mtns. It's the first milk in TX for me after 8 years of herping there. Hope you like it.
PS is anybody out there working with Davis Mtns. celanops?

I used to have two Boy Scout Road celaenops that I found in 99 but someone broke into my house and either stole them or just let them out when they busted all of my aquariums. Wish I coulda caught them..neither were as pretty as the one you have pictured..congrats...One of the celaenops from the boy scout rd. is this one pictured...JP

Snakes of Hudspeth County, Texas
Thanks for posting your pic, I haven't seen any others from the Davis. That's a good looking snake, mine's just a baby so it'll probably darken up too.
Great looking snake. I have yet to find one. Were you cruising or hiking when you came across him? I Hope to see one sooner or later
We had been hunting up by the Observatory and decided to drive down to Limpia Canyon. The snake was laying in the road at the junction of 118 and 17, not exactly where you would normally hunt. It's lucky we decided to go to Limpia otherwise we never would have found it.
Thanks for the info. I always like to get an idea where they are being seen for a reference when I have some time to head that way. Many thanks.
I don't have a male (yet...)

she looks like she kept her color well. She's got thin black bands too. Good luck finding a male, if I can't find a female for mine I may eventually pair him up with a Boy Scout or a Limpia.
