Incubator Questions

-JayDog- Jan 18, 2005 01:47 AM

With breeding season apon us, I've notice this topic coming up alot. This is my first time breeding and I'm sure a lot of newinexperienced breeders would like to hear comments from experianced breeders on incubators.

How good is the "Hova-Bator Termal Airflow" incubator?

Now from what I've read, this is supposed to be the best and least expensive incubator on the market. But today I've read a lot of negative comments on it and wanted to start a thread were people gave their comments an opinions on this popular incubator. This will help myself and any other people looking to buy an incubator.

Thank you very much,
Jason

I have one. I love it, its large enought to hold about 50 eggs. Its cheap, like you siad. And it doesn't make a sound.

All you need to do, is pick a place in your house that doesn't change temps over 10 degrees thoughout the day, and the bator will stay within any 2 degrees you pick.

I have never had a problem with it.

Some people don't even use an incubator, they just put the eggs on a table and wait.

But, if you want a sure thing, get one. They are only like $40, and it comes with deli cups and a bag of vermiculite at lllreptiles.

Hey Jay

as for the Hovorbator I have the standard old Hov without the air flow. I don't think it is needed. I have 20 eggs in the incubator now and have had 7 babies hatch out already this season
so, so far so good.
